In-ground Pool Installation Process

Swimming pool ownership begins with a selection of an expert swimming pool contractor, licensed and insured. This will help to ensure decades of enjoyment for your family and friends.

The Process:

Overall, the installation process may vary depending on factors such as the type of pool, local regulations, and site-specific considerations. Working with experienced professionals is essential to ensure a successful and safe installation. Home Water Sports usually completes a new pool installation in 7 to 10 days. Note: A licensed and insured swimming pool contractor will file to pull essential building permits and inspections.

After signing the purchase/agreement/contract several key steps will have to take place.

  1. Site Preparation:
The area where the pool will be installed is excavated and leveled to ensure a sturdy foundation.
  2. Installation of Structural Components:
The pool shell, which can be made of materials like fiberglass, vinyl, or concrete, is placed into the excavated area and secured.
  3. Plumbing and Electrical Work:
Plumbing lines for water circulation and filtration systems, as well as electrical wiring for lights and pumps, are installed.
  4. Backfilling:
The space around the pool shell is filled with gravel or another suitable material to provide support and stability.
  5. Deck and Surrounding Features:
Once the pool is in place, the surrounding deck and any additional features, such as landscaping or fencing, are installed to complete the project.
  6. Finishing Touches:
The pool is filled with water, and final adjustments are made to ensure everything is functioning properly.
  7. Testing and Inspection:
The pool is tested to ensure all systems are working correctly and meets safety standards. Local authorities may also conduct inspections to ensure compliance with building codes.
